About Us

Our philosophy

Bridging the Gap

Neurological rehabilitation is driven by the process of neuroplasticity; the ability of the central nervous system to reorganise itself by formatting new neural connections in life and in response to injury. It adjusts its actions in response to new situations and the demands placed upon it.
The MiNT Academy empowers the therapist to use technology as part of an intensive rehabilitation program to drive neuroplasticity through a process of clinical reasoning, education, research and product development.

Our clinical experts can get in at the development stage so that the end products are clinically relevant and have benefitted from the input of real patients and clinical specialists who can demonstrate the issues and problems in real time and influence better product design and effectiveness. The results will be better neurotechnology, which clinicians have helped to create, for patients who have had the opportunity to try out and improve the usefulness of the devices.

Together, we'll identify and overcome
the challenges which limit the implementation of technology into clinical practice

An Innovative
Educational Platform

The MiNT Academy provides an innovative educational platform to encourage clinicians to embed neurotechnology into their clinical practice and product developers to collaborate with us at the design stage to produce clinically relevant products.

We unite clinicians, researchers, engineers, technology experts and patients who use the devices as part of their rehabilitation. The concept was developed to bridge the gap between technology, clinicians and patients.

We use a holistic, structured approach to identifying and overcoming the complex, systemic problems which limit and restrict the implementation and application of advanced technology into clinical practise.
